An amazing place to eat great Vietnamese food. Everything is great food here. We have so many good food experiences here I'm not sure there is anything on the menu that won't please the palate. The restaurant is a bit short on staff so there is a bit of a wait at times but nothing crazy and once you order everything arrives pretty quickly. I hope they can get more business to attract more servers as this is a great place to eat and enjoy with family. The platters are the best and we love all the pho. There is street parking and some parking next to the building. The building is a bit on the older side but quaint and I hope they reopen their outdoor seating again.

This is easily one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Seattle. It's located in Renton inside what appears to be a converted house, adding to its charm. The food was excellent--every dish was delicious, and their fish sauce is the best I've ever had. I loved the banh xeo and the platter with rice noodles, various meats, and veggies that you can wrap into spring rolls--so delicious and filling. The fish sauce wings were perfectly crunchy, well-coated, and seasoned. While the bun rieu (a crab-based soup) was just okay--I've had better--service was okay but the overall food experience was great. I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!

We came in last night for a wonderful meal. They are understaffed at the moment but their food is so worth the wait and we enjoyed excellent service! We didn't have to wait too long, but we were also a party of two. We enjoyed the following: Spring rolls with peanut sauce Fish sauce wing (Canh Ga Nuoc Man)-these wings were spicy, sticky, savory and wonderful. GET THESE. Vietnamese crepe (Bahn Xeo)-this crepe is amazing! We cut it up, and put pieces of the crepe in the lettuce wraps and basil. We weren't sure of the exact way to eat this, but it was excellent. Shrimp Pattie noodle (Bun Chao Tom)-this was refreshing and good. Their house fish sauce was heavenly with their food. We can't come back soon enough.

A great choice for Vietnamese food in the Renton area! Parking can get very dicey especially during peak hours. This place does have parking on site but there's little so I would go for street parking if possible. The inside is very small with not many tables, and the place is relatively clean. Service was also very fast and prompt despite hearing that they may be understaffed from friends who've been here previously. For a table of four, my friends and I didn't have to wait long. The place serves many types of dishes and has a decent selection of vegetarian options too. My friends and I got several dishes including the Vietnamese tamarind soup with catfish, lemongrass chicken, lemongrass pork ribs, lemongrass beef ribs and their highly recommended steamed rice cakes. As a heads up, the rice cakes dish itself takes ~20 minutes to make. Every lemongrass meat was well-seasoned and flavorful, though the best ones for me were the pork and beef for their exceptional flavoring. I haven't had tamarind soup in a long time, so I was really happy to have it here! Restaurant is pretty small but I'll definitely come back for more of their dishes and the same ones I've gotten!

We finally went to Renton Bistro after attempting to go for many months. When we arrived, the place was moderately busy and they were slightly understaffed. Despite this, the staff sat us quickly and we're still very attentive! The menu consisted of a lot of dishes you'd be familiar with such as pho, bun bo hue, and bun/vermicelli bowls. But it also had a lot of dishes that I haven't seen quite often. One of which was the combo khay platter, which came with different varieties of pork and egg rolls. We also ordered the bo kho or beef stew. Both dishes tasted delicious! The combo plate came with grilled pork, which was grilled very well with a very nice marinade that was sweet but savory. The nem nuong or pork patty was also delicious, being bouncy but not tough to eat. The egg rolls, despite being simple, were good and very crunchy even until the last bite. All this was served over a bed of weaved noodles. The fish sauce was more on the savoury side, which I personally enjoyed! The bo kho was good as well, with the beef being very tender and the broth being rich and flavorful . Renton Bistro is a great place for delicious Vietnamese food in the greater Seattle area! Everything from the staff, service, and food was great about this place. I would recommend this to anyone looking for delicious Vietnamese food from the usual to the unusual.

Love this restaurant! My rating is 4.5 because of the noise. Food is so tasty! Took a friend we hadn't seen in years for Vietnamese cuisine. She was born and grew up in Vietnam. We ordered Bahn xeo (Vietnamese sizzling crepe with shrimp, pork and bean sprouts. It comes with fresh greens lettuce and fresh herbs). We also ordered shrimp fresh rolls wrapped with rice paper, bean sprouts & veggies. My husband order Goi Ga ( chicken salad with tons of shredded chicken, cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots with a sweet and spicy vinaigrette). He absolutely loved it and would definitely order it again. My friend thought the dishes were legit Vietnamese cuisine. Service was good, and you can either park on the street ( plenty of street parking) or in their small parking lot. Food is reasonably priced for what you get. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Only draw back for me is that it is quite noisy and difficult to have a good conversation

New favorite vietnamese place! I like that they shed more light on the broader viet cuisine rather than just pho. Got to try dishes I wouldn't otherwise be exposed to, like Bun Rieu (shrimp and egg in tomato soup). The food is pretty tasty too! Wait time after ordering wasn't too long for us but getting a seat took around 30 min. Cozy ambiance, looks like the indoors of someone's house or a cabin, which adds to the experience for me.

Such authentic delicious Vietnamese food I haven't been able to find. We ordered 4 dishes for 3 people and had some leftover of the egg crepe pancake. Otherwise all was devoured. My Vietnamese friend recommended this spot. Don't let it's older small renovated house look fool you. Really polite service, parking on the lot albeit limited but street parking is plentiful. We had a baby and they had a high chair and were very accommodating. If you're in Renton, go here~

The food was really good! I personally liked the shredded real shrimp vs the typical shrimp-like power that is used in banh béo and their nuoc mam was flavorful and the perfect taste. I've had other places get the ratio wrong and it ends up leaving the sauce with a more salty taste. The bun bo hue isn't the most traditional, but I understand why they made some of the adjustments they did since most people don't like eating pork hoc or pork blood. The meat was cooked well and tender and really made the dish enjoyable. I was given an appropriate amount of veggie to noodle to meat ratio that made the dish enjoyable to eat. There wasn't a ton of spice, but that's something just could asked for to help enhance the flavor if I wanted a spicier taste. The broth was flavorful regardless. My partner got the com tam and said that he thought it tasted really good and could tell them had real broken rice. This is the only place that's has given him enough nuoc mam for his dish (he's a little heavy handed and enjoys more of the sauce than most people). He said he felt like there wasn't a lot and wished there was more but still enjoyed it. The wait staff were all kind and despite their sign that asked for understanding of slow service due to short staff, they brought our meal out in a timely manner. The place isn't fancy by any means but it's cozy and welcome and some of the natural light from the window really helped brighten and warm the place up. Edit: Watch out for other cars when exiting! The street is one way and there's a sign across from the restaurant that says it's one way, but we almost got hit by someone who was going in the opposite direction who might not have noticed the sign and accidentally made an illegal right turn.

A sign on the front door says they are short-staffed. We visited on a Friday evening, and waited for 15-20 minutes before we were seated. Majority of customers were lots families with small kids. Inside was a bit old, and isn't very big. Food was surprisingly good. We ordered Bun Mam (fermented fish soup with pork belly, catfish, and squid), broken rice with grilled pork chop, and fish sauce wings. We were told the wings will take 35 minutes to come out, and it did arrive almost at the end of our meal. I would skip the wings, but the noodle and broken rice are both delicious.
